all of the phat 1000s advantages are niche today, just get whatever you want. I recommend a 2000 or 3000
pros:
>most premium form factor, just look at how cheap the brite's plastic door is to the phat's metal interior
>only PSP with an IR blaster, TV remote homebrews will only work on this
>can be used as a controller for the CD-i
>some old accessories like docks only work on the 1000
>can create pandora batteries, still a great tool to unbrick psps
>only psp with native support for 1.50 homebrew, all other psps require plugins
>1000 and early 2000 slims are the only ones that support cIPL permanent CFW, the rest need Infinity
>currently the only PSP with IPS screen mod kits
