If you really sit back and think about it, the Playstation was the NES of the 90's

why are so many of the popular games on this thing better played on other platforms (not counting emulators)?

Hey guys, I'm having trouble playing backups on my PS1 using the disc swap method. I tried burning LSD onto three different CDs: one with just the bin file, one with the bin and the cue file, and one with an ISO made from the bin and the cue. I burned them properly AFAIK (used IMGburn, it's pretty straightforward and I've done this before with Xbox games), but for some reason I can't get them to work on on my PS1. The disc swap method I'm using is swapping the genuine disc to the backup once the second (black) startup screen loads, swapping the genuine disc back in after the backup slows down, then swapping the backup in after the second screen goes to black. This worked with two genuine PS1 games, so I don't see why it would work win a backup. Sorry for the tech support post, but I've been reading shit online for the past couple hours and couldn't figure out what I'm doing wrong. PS1 model is an SCPH-5501. Thanks in advance!

What PSX emulator lets me use a fast forward toggle?
I want to play Suikoden 1 and 2 and a few other PSX jrpg's, but also want to blast through them like I did on my Snes and PSP emulators.
Being able to fast forward through random battles is a godsend

The old school dualshock model. Love it to bits, have one right here. The only console I'd choose if I could only pick one.
