The site has a lot of great content but the owner and the one running that Twitter, Kurt Kalata, is one of the biggest cringefag soiboys in existence. He can still write good articles when he keeps his politics out. In the early days that shit wasn't really there but not it's a tranny hugbox, you can be permabanned for misgendering or not repecting pronouns on the forum.

I was following Kurt's work even before HG101, he started some of the first major fansites for Castlevania (Castlevania Dungeon), Contra and several other classic series way back in the day and I used to visit them often without even realising it was all the same guy. Shame they are so eager to cast people out of their hobby because of their bullshit political correctness

I'm honestly not at all against analyzing female portrayals in games; Japan is a pretty sexist country and this can sometimes be reflected in the stories they tell. The problem is that they're just bandwagoners spouting buzzwords they heard from Feminist Frequency. They're not thoughtfully analyzing gender roles from their well-informed perspective, they just want to say "YEAH WE'RE PC TOO BRO" and be done with it. Bandwagoners.
