1. A mystique developed around Radiant Silvergun because you could only buy it from import shops and it was always the most expensive game despite just being a single disc with no peripherals (never going under $79.99 even during 1998).

2. Ikaruga's innovative gameplay and lack of anime characters got a lot of favorable coverage.

3. Many went back and played Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy, Guardian Heroes after the fact.

4. Consistently great music.

Me personally, I was lucky to have a single copy of YukeTora/Mischief Makers at my local Blockbuster when I was in the single digits of age and the game forever stood with me.

That's the only digital copy I could find, I think I pulled it from PerfectDark. I don't think a public complete rip exists anymore if it ever existed at all.
