I quite liked quake 1 and didn't mind quake 2, mind you it's been years since playing.

I just feel like he (Vaecrius) does not have much range/tolerance for different doom experiences and seems to think there's something wrong with playing a different style in doom and will make sure you know about it.

Eg: I've enjoyed Unloved but also Hell Revealed type mapsets, linear levels and non-linear levels and gameplay mods to boot. There is no be all end all experience for me, just different variations done well from a more technical POV.
It's why I could play the later levels of Alien Vendetta but then a few hours later be sneaking around cheeki breeki'ing people in a modded S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

The idea that "your map not only sucks, it sucks balls :D" if it will not play as a deathmath level just defies belief. Monsters fight differently to players, even if you make the level with only 1 player spawn and no objects for multiplayer, this apparently does not sink in. Fuel Devourer (from last cacowards) was great fun, but way too huge to be a good deathmatch level.

That said, some levels that function well as deathmatch maps are fun, but to imply it's a requirement for objective quality, as if.

I always find it annoying how so many people treat Realm667 assets like you take *ALL* of it and throw it in a blender and call it a day.

Because then you get really stupid people thinking that is what Realm667 is supposed to be so just assume all Realm667 assets are bad as a result.
Or they just hate Torm and everything to do with him because muh purity.

I have made a teleporter pad and I can use it ok but for some reason it just stops working after a few uses, why does this happen and how do I fix it?
