I'd say this is the best SDD advice one could get, I also recommend the Launcher Spider pack because of 7 Colored Fish and Dark Elf, I know Dark Elf is a 50/50 sort of card as some don't like it due to its cost, but I feel it's worth it, especially as Gemini Elf and Vorse Raider become more common to see... also the Red-Eyes pack has Pot of Greed, Skelengel and Man-Eater Bug. Also go for the Great Moth pack to get Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, Magic Jammer and Solemn Judgement.

I like the idea of Duel Academy, really immersing the player in that environment... yes, the concept of a Duel Academy is ridiculous, but fun too, and being able to live the world we saw in the anime is always something I appreciate in video games. I have to give it a more serious run at some point.

Having access to everything is a double edged sword I think, on one hand having everything available makes deck building a lot of fun, but the grind in Yu-Gi-Oh! video games, the progress and growth, is probably one of the most fun things about them to me. It'd be nice if Konami tried to experiment more like they used to, Master Duel is excelent, but it's just an OCG/TCG simulator, it's boring and lifeless as a video game.

Agreed, TSC and DDS have some of the most fun alternative rules around, the differences from the official rules made it a lot better in a video game setting, at least to me, it worked perfectly. WC04, WC05 and WC06 all capture a pretty nostalgic era really, Goat format and all, it's classic, so a good choice too, I also loved how WC06 brought back the classic tier system from early Duel Monsters installments, it's charming.
