Played a demo for Threads of Fate at a PS1 kiosk at Sears and immediately fell in love with the game. It's not an especially great game, but it's always been charming to me, and the memory of playing that demo is one of those weird bits of happy nostalgia.

Amongst all of Square's PS1 offerings, I feel like Threads of Fate never got much attention, but I fell in love with it. Charming, good atmosphere, fun characters. I'm not sure how it holds up, but it was great back in the day.

Threads of Fate.

I replay this (both characters) at least once a year. It always reminds me of a simpler time. I'm still waiting for a direct sequel, but I'm well aware the chances are slim to none.
