But really, pirate these games at this point, their original console run is long over, and their makers made their money back and are sitting on their laurels afraid to give fans anything but well calculated increments to our whole backcatalog. Scarcity is a legitmate reason to just download bootlegs now. It would actually be good for Squeenix to have to make new content every once and a while. I know they have talented people capable of putting together another 7, 9 or 10; games that succeeded because of their strong and unique game mechanics, expansive worlds, and unforgettable (sometime infamously so) characters and scenes.

Square, the day you convince me that you aren't trying to swindle me by carefully calculated business stratagems that sell me the same game multiple times, is the day you trust you fans to be ok with you to go out on a limb and do something different, because, you know, that's why we fell in love with Square 30 years ago.
