Read the instruction manual, but seeing how you are starting with Romancing SaGa 3 you don't get that luxury.

I ALWAYS read the game manual in a SaGa game because often times it does throw in new mechanics and it is worth reading what they say about it. Though things that they may intentionally leave out or are vague just leave it as is and experiment and learn on your own from there.

The games would be harder if you don't at least read the manual.
