I kinda like the rubber banding in MK64. I feel like the game would be way too boring without it. You'd just spend the entire race being half a lap ahead with nothing happening around you. At least with the rubber banding it feels like the AI racers are in the same race as you are, even if they still suck.

That is just something noobs say as a coping mechanism. People are getting hard filtered by mkw and are looking for any possible excuse they can come up with. The game is perfectly playable with any character you like.
