New progression server starting on the 24th. 3 months an expansion locking at LDoN. Who's with me? Maining paladin.

Any other old school EQ players around? This was my first MMO, I've checked out the other prog servers but always came in a little bit too late to start fresh

Daybreak just released 2 new time-locked progression servers (they start with classic EQ then release a new expansion every 6 months or so)

Just found out about it yesterday, restarting my old account and gonna live like a 17 year old again. Maybe put on some Ranma 1/2 too.

Are you stoked for the new progression server? What class/race will you be playing?

Trying to decide between halfling/druid or half-elf/bard.

So did anybody else used to play EverQuest back in the day? I played up until Planes of Power dropped. Wood Elf Druid ftw.

It was pretty interesting since it was basically a transition point between even older MMOs like Ultima Online or various MUDs and the modern MMO scene that World of Warcraft created. The amount of character and factions options were amazing.

Can we have an MMO general?

/vr/ doesn't talk about MMOs that much. Share your old EQ or Ultima stories and speculate why the MMO genre has gone to shit.

The internet was a thing in the late 90s so what are some good retro online games? Web games or MMOs.

I'm pretty sure some of the Nick Clickamajigs are from before 2000.
