Actually, older systems termed 8-bit typically referred to the processor word size, not color bit depth. Processor word size was an advertising buzzword to show off how big an e-peen you computer had. I'm sure very few people back then actually knew what the bits were actually referring to outside of the fact your newer computer had more of 'em.

Frames 09, 0A, and 0B look kinda fucked up. 0A is in the characters, but 09 and 0B look to be offset errors. If you go over all the sprites carefully you might find other discrepeancies between your gif and what's been specified.

Also the walk body and arm scripts don't match up, and furthermore vrtan's hands aren't animated while walking in your gif, so I couldn't make sense of how those frames should look. I ended up just trying to copy the gif, but everything else is blind (except an obvious error with the tile numbers on the legs being wrong that I already fixed).
