Lens distortion in GZDoom is a very crappy shader, wouldn't be surprised if it produces chromatic aberration as a byproduct.

Here's a similar working effect from one of the columns in Refracted Reality.
IDK why exactly, but somehow the diagonal scrolling around the column produces incredibly aesthetically pleasing result. Kinda opposite of what FIREBLU does.
