Also maybe I'm dumb but does anyone else find it way easier to just use the cross against him? The cross has long range and help take out the scythes, the holy water seems more difficult to me because even though it deals three bars of damage you have to be so close that it seems impossible to not take a hit while trying to move away.

Help me, /vr/. I'm having a hard time with Death. What sub-weapon do you guys use? What's your strategy?

The other day on /v/ a guy told me that Death was way more difficult in Dracula's Curse than in CV1, unless you use Sylpha. I did it with Trevor and thought it was way easier than in the first game. At the same time though, I haven't played CV1 since 2008 and I'm much better at games now than I was then. Plus, I had holy water for the Dracula's Curse fight but used a cross for the original fight.

Is there any merit to the statement that Death is tougher in Dracula's Curse than he is in CV1, or is it the other way around? I'd like to hear some opinions on this matter.

I can get through this game without dying with a little luck by now, but I'm still not able to beat this fucker without the holy water trick. I die in about 5 seconds, it's crazy. Beating him legitimately is my vidya goal.

Which castlevania do you think is the best? Which one is the hardest?
