I designed a new and better RGB SCART shifter circuit with 5x NE555, 74HC86, single OpAmp (LM741), the LM1881 just to get the CSync and a linear stereo pot 2Kohm.
This one does not fuck up the interlacing as the VSync is extracted from the CSync and it gets delayed about the same amount as the HSync (unlike the 2 other circuits).
The input is the upper waveform and the lower waveform is the output.
Notice that the picture is shifted to the right because the synctips at the output appear about 8µS earlier and that the VSync is almost at the correct position.
The name of the shown program is DigiTrace, it makes possible to use the parallel port as an logic analyzer.

Are the colors correct where the dark spot is?
If the purity is misaligned it can not only show wrong colors (the beam hits the wrong phosphor) but can cause dark spots (the beam only partially hits the phosphor).
Maybe there's a new magnetic field near the TV or the mask got magnetized and degaussing coil isn't strong enough to get rid of it.
