first tried to play this like 10 years ago, got frustrated by the first mission and dropped it.
tried it again about 2 years later and did the exact same thing.
decided to try it out again this past week and boy am i an idiot for not sticking with it sooner

Are there any other retro cyberpunk games besides deus ex that aren’t point and clicks?

Well after seeing how big of a fucking flop Cyberpunk was, I thought about going and playing Deus Ex again, but I wonder, are there any other good cyberpunk esque games that are retro? I know some swear by Shadowrun on genesis

Is this still worth playing or is it too outdated at this point?

Who else used to pronounce it "Deuce Ex"? I can't be the only one, right?

Pic related, senpai. It's the undisputed king of sci-fi immersive sims and will never, ever be topped. HR the rest of the franchise nailed the gameplay aspect, but completely missed the atmosphere, plot, etc. They tried to emulate it, though, so as a result they just feel like knock-offs with better graphics.

But there are two immersive sims that I'd say surpass even Deus Ex in my P.O.V.: Dishonored and Dishonored 2

Looking to play pic related for the first time. Is there a best way to get this working on Windows 10? I'm pretty uninformed, though I did hear that it doesn't always work out of the box.

I'm still coping with how Square fucked this up so bad.

All player choice removed and replaced with linear story and useless dialogue options.

Gamebreaking cybernetics removed and replaced with basic shooter mechanics and ults.

Open world removed and replaced with indoor missions and a chinatown street to walk back and forth on.

Fucking shame.

I played this for the first time last week. Made it to the point right before meeting Lebedev.

Great game. Very tight and well plotted. I never really felt meandering, or frustrated.

Voice acting is one of the best I've ever seen.

My only sadness is that my partner (that chick) was disappointed in me for going stealth. If I go guns blazing, does her dialogue change?

The only thing I hate is the limited lockpicks. I wish there was a shop that I could buy explosives and lockpicks and shit. I have too much inventory from going stealth that I even threw away my sniper gun to carry the rocket launcher.

I love reading the newspapers and stuff. Exploration is great too, kind of reminds me of Duke 64.
