One of few shmups I've 1CC'd, so it's not all that hard. Once you've figured out an encounter it's generally easy to replicate (unlike II), and the game is just 20 minutes long (unlike the later ones).

Good choice, the art is by YasuomI Umetsu, who did the character designs for the 90s reboots of Gatchaman and Casshan, he's got a nice middle ground style between anime and American comic-book art.
