The only scaler I care about is the Morph because the FX team are the only ones who seem to understand that CRT filters/masks are the one thing that can make old games look right.

It boggles my mind that people would pay hundreds of dollars for a glorified nearest-neighbor box.

What's a decent lightweight shader for Retroarch?

The x5 is way better value if you aren't downscaling and don't need/want polyphase scanlines. The morph is likely going to be 1.5x the price of the tink, but it handles downscaling better and will have much better overlays.
It's a question of how much you need those two things (and sadly CRT filters are what get me off).

For comparision 3d map with 2d menus. First screen native resolution no enchantments. Second screen xm29 shader.
Shader has minimal effect on 3D but menus look great.
