Man, I remember when it first came out. The heat seeker's camera thing (which was totally useless/cool) would tank the framerate to hell like the flashlight in Counter Strike Source, and it was so fucking broken in MP. Pick that sum' bitch up and you pretty much won the match cus it turned into a sort of point and click game where all you could do was "Use 'Broken Weapon' on 'Poor Sum' Bitches.'" Hard to believe it more or less kicked off the retro FPS resurgence along with Serious Sam 3 and Duke Nukem Forever two years prior, SS3 more so.

This game's maybe dumb fun for 10-20 minutes but gets really grating and irritating fast. The fact that this is a 3+ hour game with 8 worlds is a god damn crime.

Admittedly only really played/read Snatcher and Saya no Uta, sticking to just retro. I read Umineko but not Higurashi (yet), only just started Sakura Wars (which is a half-example admittedly), and there's a number of others I intend to get to soon like Policenauts, Tsukihime, Demonbane, and the Switch remake of Famicom Detective Club

Unrelated, but that one zone in DW1 where the time speeds up still gives me anxiety to this day. Pic related whenever a Digimon dies early because of it.
