I really would love another entry that builds upon what Breath of Fire 4 did instead of just throwing the baby out with the bathwater and making Breath of Fire 5 an experimental semi-strategic RPG sci-fi apocalypse drama.
But like >>6884680 said Capcom probably just doesn't see a new BoF game making any money at all, or at least a pittance when it comes to something like a new Street Fighter where they can sell MTX outfits and shit forever.
