None of the anxiety players face in Silent Hill comes from a lack o f supplies, rather it's world and atmosphere, a testament to it's horror design.

Help me out here. My playstation 1 died recently I was thinking since I have ps2 and ps3 that I can play mine ps1 games on those rather getting new ps1.

Now I know there is list that some games are not compatible with some of these consoles but is there any with also show there are glitches/bugs in games too? Or should I just get ps1 so I can play worry free?

Just booted Diablo on my ps3 and music start skiping after few minutes, same with dialog and some sound effects while ps2 dosen't. have any problems so far.

What games in a "must play" series have aged like sour milk?

Silent Hill 1 has to be on the list. While people say "but the blurriness makes it creepier" it's animations and voice acting is just horrible. It's very hard to get into the mood when Harry's run animation makes him look like he has a serious mental defect.

Still a decent port though, and it's nice they included the original prototype 2D build of the game as a bonus.

Finally got a copy of Silent Hill 1, and playing it now, hadn't played it since 2001.

Finding it underwhelming compared to SH 2 and 3...and Siren. I feel like I am walking through the fog, waiting for an enemy to pop up.
