Well, thank you.

Treasure games sure are nice, I especially enjoyed Bangai-O and Guardian Legend(s?).
Never been too much into Radiant, though. I love shoot'em up, but I don't have much fun with this one...

I really like older games and how they handle exploration. In particular I think of Metroid 1, Zelda 1, and Dragon Quest. All three just have a nice bare-bones feeling that makes exploration feel more satisfying. You don't feel shoved into a world more complicated than it needs to be, you're just the player who travels the land. I also love tons of secrets and sharing tips with other players, as well as drawing maps for areas in the game.

I also really like the way that Zelda 2 handles overworld exploration and action scenes. Going from an abstract larger world to a smaller, more focused view allows is an appealing design to me. However, I'm interested in what other things could be done for the action scenes. Zelda 2 did 2D action platforming for its action scenes. What else could you do?

tl;dr imagine different ways to do an 'Action Scene' for a game like Zelda 2.

I for one would like an SRPG combined with a pro wrestling game.
