Somebody explain this shit to me.

What's the worst game you've played that at the same time you can't stop playing?
For me it's pic related, I have a sick love for this game and I don't know why. It's worse than both world 1 and 3 in every aspect, it's a mediocre as fuck dungeon crawler, and it has one of the most retarded ways to stop you from overleveling I've ever seen. And yet I've probably more more hours in this game than any one DQ game. It's not even "sunk cost as a kid", it was 15 bucks at Gamestop, I could've just stopped playing and that doesn't explain going back to it in emulation.

It's a fucking obtuse game with a lot of mechanics that aren't explained at all. You could get fucked over hard even in the first dungeon due to the game not explaining a single thing.
With that said, I love it still.
