The original Pool of Radiance on the Commodore 64 and what the game physically did to your disk drive when the fucking KOBOLD ARMY attacked...

Thanks for ALL of these anon/other anons, really neat to see so many examples. How about RPGs or Adventure games? I know Wasteland is on here and I plan to play that since I played 2.

The D&D games look very interesting (the oldest I ever played was Eye of the Beholder) but I heard bad things about the copy protection and disk management getting in the way of the fun (though I suppose the second one is less of an issue as I can swap literally with a couple button presses).

Hi, /vr/. I wanted to make a thread about old crpgs. I'm not talking about infinity engine, rather about games from the goldbox series for example.

Do you have any advice about getting into them? I'm a big fan of crpgs but the clunky mechanics of these older games always get into the way.

What's a good party that I can bring through all of the goldbox games? I remember reading that you shouldn't as it's not very practical to do, so I'm just wondering.

Playing it on dosbox. So......how do I sweep exactly? I tried every key and the original manual doesn't tell me anything? Anything else I should know that the game doesn't tell me? I know it's based of AD&D Rules, so I'm wondering if there's other things that's not made obvious in a game sense.

Might be the best RPG for the system but doesn't get discussed much

Does anyone play the Goldbox D&D games?

Is the PoR story the best series to go through, or is the Krynn games?

Also Goldbox D&D General.

About to start pic related

Is this the kind of game that screws you if you don't min-max, or can I just wing it?

hey /vr/. I have been trying to figure out how to get Pool of Radiance to work in DOSBox for the past few days. Whenever I try to make a character or add one to the party it asks me to insert a save disk. I do not have one since I downloaded it from a site directly to my hard drive. I have Googled my question, but all of the answers I have found I could not understand because I am not great with DOS. Could you guys help me?
