>"From the very first time I placed a max bid of $1000 on a game I knew was worth no more than $120, I was hooked. Those feelings of raw humiliation and shame came flooding back. It was like a drug. I began bidding on
anything and everything Nintendo, always with insane maximum bids. If someone got into a bid war with me it was even better. I knew I didn't have the money but I didn't care. I maxed out credit cards and stopped paying rent. The rush was too intense to stop. It was like an addiction I couldn't be without."
