I tried playing III but dropped it by the half way point. It was charming but it was just too slow. I recently started IV and fell in love with it. Its now one of my favorite jrpgs and playstation games, hell, maybe even games in general. For me IV was MUCH better then III, don't feel bad skipping it and going right into IV.
