In that vein the SNES version of Wario's Woods is way better than the NES version too. Shame they never fucking port it and only port the NES one.

I always appreciate the playing through the same levels with a completely different controlling character in games. MKU is the first time the Kirby series did it well and they've definitely refined it even more as the games have gone on. Dededetour in Triple Deluxe was fun time and all the Dream Friends in Star Allies were easily the best parts of that middling game.
And yeah the taking down his own ship thing bugged me out as a kid too though it's non-canon so I'm willing to forgive it, plus we got Galacta Knight out of it.
