22 this year so far, out of which 15 are /vr/, as follows:

>The Ninja Warriors (beat it like 7 times so far this year alone, fucking love it)

>Zelda Oracle of Ages
>Super Adventure Island (3 times)

>Pop’n TwinBee (twice so far, this is very good too)

Rest of the other games are PS2 and DS Stuff anyways, nothing current gen. Right now I'm re-playing OoT (first time I play it on the 3DS) since some people here recommended me to play it as much out of order as I could. Also playing Energy breaker, cute SRPG.

...Fuck anon, I can't believe I forgot Devilotte, I've always been fond of her, she's hilarious. I even knew about her cameo in the Doronjo ending. Really showed either her or Tron should have been playable in the game.

But you are correct, the Time Bokan trio thing is used in japanese media to this day, kind of like the stag/rhino beetle brothers starting with Boomer Kuwanger/Gravity Beetle and Pinsir/Heracross. I love this kind of stuff.

Of course they're very common in anime, I have to watch Nadia sometime. I'd have to say I'm fond of Jaboli, Kejinan and Enge from King Gainer, kind of a subdued take on the trope.
