It just seems like terrible pricing. The newer games aren't as good as the older ones from different genres. Why should the newest sports game be 60$? I haven't bought anything new since the wii first came out so I can't really relate to people spending 70$ on COD or NHL 2013

nice

Puzzle consists of sliding blocks and when you push them they keep sliding until they hit a wall

The floor is REALLY slippery
The enemies are not affected by the slipperyness

These things really bug me after playing so many games but I guess you can't really do much else in the forms of originality.

Near the top, fall, wiggling and some how avoiding every platform and land maybe one platform from the bottom. Try and make a jump and land on the bottom again. FUCK. and what the fuck was the monster inside the sand crawler supposed to be? After that level the game is really fun though

There was a guy who posted this collage of images from when he was younger. His face is priceless when he is running down the hallway, and just the way the console is set up and he's playing it is awesome.

No this isn't me and I hope the guy who posted these sees it and posts some more photos.

You traded like 600$ worth of stuff for earthbound? I don't wanna rain on your parade if you love that game to pieces but that sounds pants on head retarded to me. But I guess the Hagane makes up for it.

3 is seen as the definitive one that fixes the mistakes from the 2nd one (Going by Japanese timelines here). Personally I haven't played the 3rd one but I do prefer the 2nd ones combat system over the system found in 3 and Sword of Mana.

The music and the wide range of weapons are what make me love this game so much. Oh and also the artwork which is amazing. The art style from the 2nd one is my favorite with all the dark green on the cover and the red birds flying by.

The only flaws I have for the 2nd game are

1. AI getting stuck
2. Running, you are stuck going in a straight line
3. Boss music is absolute garbage compared to the rest of the sound track
4. Stacking magic against enemies after your 3rd sprite makes you invincible but the game is still challenging if you try and only use buffs and weapons.
5. The map view with Flammie, I just hate the overly pixelated view and how everything looks the same, and waiting for the full map to load everytime is a pain.

Other than those 5 things I would say it's 10 out of 10 but a 9 out of 10 is my realistic review.

Yeah me and my friend played it together and couldn't figure out what to do so he just ran across the swamp and made it across first try which we thought was insane. I thought it would be one of those "impossible" things where you always fail like a boss battle you have to lose

This guy knows what's going on. But it is a Sim in the same sense that turn based games are RPG's don't you think? You aren't actually playing the role of one character like in Dungeons and Dragons and when I was growing up I always thought a game with Leveling or Turn Based gameplay was considered an RPG.

The best way to describe harvest moon though is as a Casual Farming Simulator unless you want a more drawn out response like It's a game where you have to make money from your farm and complete your life goals by marrying somebody and having a family and going on adventures.

The way the music timed with it perfectly. And those backgrounds on the snow levels before the storm were so clear and amazing. As a Canadian I felt right at home.

I felt like the game when sort of down hill after this area or the water palace place, whichever came last. I leveled up so much in the water tower on those fish that kept spawning and then there wasn't anything else to fight after that until you got to the final boss. They should have done the chapters more balanced with action and story but still a great game

I had to quit after the first two months because I couldn't go exploring. You leave your farm and go to explore and realize you should have bought something in town and head back but it's night time.

Were you the correct level or just doing 1-3 dmg to her? That's one of the biggest flaws in this game, for some reason the bloody mary fight requires you to be at least a certain level or you do no damage to her. Once I figured that out it went a lot better. I preferred the first half of the game without the humans to the second half but the second half was still really cool influencing the different towns and talking to that one bird that flies you to the north pole even though all he says is (....) or (....) but if you remember the choices from when you could talk to animals it goes to the same places.

I find it is noticeable when doing speedruns of Super Mario 3 for NES. It's really bad when I play at my friends house and use his big screen TV. He doesn't notice it but I can really notice it, but only for that one game because of my muscle memory movements. We can play anything else and even though it's laggy we do just fine and adapt to it.

I want to play this again but I really want to play on my SNES and being in North America that is a costly situation. I have beaten it 2 times on an emulator so far and had a lot of fun.

Bloody Mary Did you get stuck at this point also?

I am in the same boat here. My favourite places in video games is the ice worlds. Donkey Kong Country is a big reason for this because it has such a beautiful snow area.

I remember the modern version of this game from like 2001 i think? We played it on the Mac's we had and you chose the destination and if you wanted to sleep in your truck or not and you could get a ticket if you were caught sleeping on the side of the road in your truck

It's pretty fun, but I don't know if it's worth the price (I used a giftcard to buy it). SoM is one of my favourite games even with it's many flaws. On the iPhone version the only real differences are that the water is reflective (this looks really weird because it reflects like glass) , the AI is more intelligent and you can move forward while they are stuck (big improvement!!!!) . I'm not a fan of the touch controls because you get no feedback and its hard to control your direction especially when trying to run. Just a few graphical updates and that's about it. Very fun but can get frustrating and make you want to use a controller. The fox brothers are easier to beat also, they don't kick you when you are down repeatedly.

I feel the same way. I use instagram and am quite friendly with a bunch of retro gamers who have nice collections but it pains me to see them do a post that says "Here are my 5 pre order bonuses with sealed copies of Windwaker, I am selling them in the future for 120$ each" or they buy two copies of a game or even three copies and keep all but 1 of them sealed. OR they even buy the limited edition 3DS's and keep them sealed. WHYYYYY????? Everybody does it so it's not like old SNES games where only a few people had sealed games to make them worth so much. When everybody does it it makes them less hard to find and less unique.

This is how I'm feeling. Why is a game marketed towards children so challenging in the basic aspects of gameplay? Why is the level so fucking bright and you have to dodge pink hippo's and some random tree branches when the first level takes less than a minute to beat.

Has anybody beaten this level? Took me a good 20 minutes to finally get to the halfway point because I had no idea what I was trying to avoid on that stupid Ostrich other than those pink hippos. It seems I would hit a tree and die or the bush on a tree and die but not other times. And then these stupid hippo tails, I can't understand their hit detection. I wasted 6 lives in a row jumping to the second hippos tail and just going through it to the water. And after finally getting past the hippos I am on another Ostrich and don't know what I am trying to double jump to avoid.

How could this be considered a good game when the second level is complete garbage? Is the rest of the game any good? Should I keep playing, because I really wanted to beat this game.

Same here, I was like, "Woah it gives me 5hp and only 1 magic or regular attack up? I'll go with HP" so I ended the game max level with so much HP on all my characters, Now when I go through I give them the worst attributes to make the game more challenging
