General Terranigma thread? Did anybody else get confused with the magic system using the Magic Rocks? I thought you could only cast as many spells as the rocks you had sort of like using an item, and since the rocks were limited I played the game like I could only cast 40 spells in total (i forgot how many rocks there were) and only recently found out from a /vr/ goer that it worked a different way. You bought the rings with Rocks then payed money to get more rings after that? And the real kicker is I saved all my rocks for the final boss (only ever used a few on bloody mary) and you couldn't even use them!!!!!!!!

I'm not too sure, and now I'm interested in finding a proper outline of the story from the creators, but I don't have any guides or manuals explaining anything.

From what I see in the overworld view and the level view of the first world is that K ROOL's ship seems in tact, like he just docked it and ran away. But there are like 3 other ships, maybe 4 around the island that are smashed up.

So I found this image and it shows 2 ships smashed. One is in the Swamp area and the other is in the Crocodile Couldron area. K ROOL's ship looks fine. Either way, this looks like a shitty island to live on

This is my idea of the events that happened in the first game.

Donkey Kong and Diddy live on this island called Donkey Kong island and it's shaped like his head for some reason. The kremlins came and stole his bananas and have infested the area. They dug mines for some reason (to find bananas?) and made a power plant and poisoned the river. K Rool brings his boat up to the island to take all the Bananas that his boss buddies have hoarded. Donkey Kong and Diddy beat him up and get back the Bananas.

THEN, they follow K rool to his island. The ship crashes into the side of the island and K Rool kidnaps Donkey Kong. Now I think Diddy and Dixie come in another ship? On the world map for DKC2 you see in the first area that the ship says K ROOL on the side so they must have all been on this ship? However they ended up on the island, you can see broken boats all around the island and lots of pollution. So they go through all these areas of the island and if you look at each map you can see cool features like the crashed ships.

I guess all the kremlings hang out at the carnival area and have a good time but you bash through there and fuck them all up and eventually get to king zing sting and kill him like you killed his wife in the first one. So you get to K Rool again but he escapes after you destroy the island in the end and that starts the 3rd game.

Does this all seem to make sense or is there something wrong with how I thought the games were connected?

DK Coin in a bonus level, I could never figure that out. And then for the Ghostly Grove level (first level in the gloomy gulch area) Cranky gives you a tip which is "Things are starting to look up" and all that is up at the begining of the level is a floating guy and he just gives you bananas. The coin is in some super stupid under the level area that I could never find. And the last thing I could never find was the bonus stage in Chain Link Chamber, Cranky says "When bombs are dropping down on you, find a way past who is responsible" and I always figured he meant the secret wall to get the DK coin but apparantly he meant going through another secret wall and rolling through the guys dropping the canon balls to find the door

Good to know other people had the same problems as me.

So here is something I wanted to do, what is your general idea of the storyline between all the events that happened in the Kong universe for these three donkey kong country games?

Just beat Donkey Kong Country 2 on the SNES with 102% for the first time. I've played it many times as a kid and only beat the lost world by using the 75 krem coins cheat in the first level after beating the game 7 or 8 times before that and only getting maybe 80% by the end.

Were you able to beat this game 102% without any guides or outside help? A few of those DK coins were completely stupid and Cranky gave me shit for hints. As usual when I beat a game I thought I would read a few reviews people had and I came across with 4/10 review and it got me wondering, does anybody actually feel this way? Maybe it's just because I've played the game so many times but it seems very easy to control and avoid enemies.

Sorry, basically I bought half of what the lady was selling because I only wanted a Gameboy SP and Superstar sage. Then I went back to get the rest the next day and noticed a stack of boxes for some of the games I was buying, they were in a stack of cardboard and garbage. So i asked if I could have the boxes and pointed at them. The guy said yeah and he would bring it all up, he handed the games and gameboy to me in a plastic bag and I didn't realize he thought I meant a Cardboard box to keep the games and gameboy in and he most likely took the game boxes and other cardboard to the dump.

It was a good craigslist deal and I should have paid 80$ for it all the first time I went instead of second guessing myself and coming back again and not being clear that I wanted that "useless" cardboard that the games originally came boxed in.

I was dissapointed as a kid because I played conker's pocket tails and diddy kong racing and then saw that Conker's Bad Fur day was rated M? Wtf was that all about? And then that one kid who's parents didn't care what he played was like, Dude it's the best thing ever, there is this super hot naked chick in it and they swear all the time and this big piece of poop is a boss and blah blah blah. Didn't really sound appealing to me. I tried it a few years ago on an emulator and it was just a game with good platforming elements but it tries too hard and his voice is really annoying. I don't see what all the hype is about.

I've got it on the Super Nintendo and can't beat the first fucking boss. I've picked this game up many times and gotten the best weapons and then the boss hits me once and i'm back a stage with nothing. SO FRUSTRATING, does the game get better?

You can't really compare skipping cinematic attack animations to skipping the scenes of a movie, it's comparable to skipping the intro credits and not watching the ending credits of a movie or a long sex scene that you know is coming .

op can you give me your opinion on this game and some background info on it? I'm a big bomberman fan but I never played the original games, only the 3 on the N64 and really liked them as a kid. I'm looking into buying games I will play and selling my valuable games I don't like so if these older bomberman games are great fun then I would love to get in on the action. I also have a Bomberman SNES controller adapter so you can have up to 6 people playing bomberman, I haven't been able to use it yet because NBA Jam and Secret of Mana are the only games I have with more than 2 players able to play.

Yeah, the factory is awesome and has cool music but it's just getting to smithy and then saving and your game is stuck there forever.

They need to make a proper sequel in the same world with the same characters and a new original story.

Also, here is my story from when I was 8 and beat the game almost

So I get to the last boss and tried so many times to beat him and my sister tried and my parents watched us and it was like this all week. Finally on a saturday morning at like 6:30am I gave it another go. I landed that last hit and I was so amazed so I ran upstairs and woke my parents up and they came downstairs. It was the GAME OVER screen because I only had 1 life and didn't realize the KREDITS were fake!!!! I was just staring at the screen and had no idea what the fuck happened. I beat it again later that day and called everybody over and then we watched K rool get back up and start jumping and I was able to beat him and finally enjoy that ending music
