Multiformat PVMs and BVMs do not support 24khz.

Please don't actively set people up for failure. The Dimensia's "EIA Multiport" connector is only composite, explicitly stated to not accept RGB in the manual.

Which model(s) in particular? That's a line that ran for over 20 years.

Plenty of them, especially in the mid 90 and late 90s use the exact same jungle ICs as their S, V, FS, and FV models, and are equally as moddable. A good portion of the ones from say, 96 or so onward should be moddable for Component as well, though I haven't went through the manuals to actually document specifically which ICs they use yet.

You can 'sorta" use that little ridge as a hand hold, but it's not a decent one, and the added width that comes with it being a wide boi would mean you'd need an awfully long arm span to do anything with them.

Nope. 10w stereo speakers, no sub.

Also weights 194lb.

It's an HDCRT. Older stuff won't look great, but it'd pair rather nicely with that PS2 and PS3(the latter over HDMI even).

>I end up getting a black bar in the middle of the picture and I havent figured out how to fix that.
Your GCHD is defaulting(forcing?)480p, and you're feeding it to a 480i/SD display. Figure out how to set it to 480i or 240p and it'll display proper.

>> No.5566039 [View]

>>5565434
Just swap the polarity you have the deflection wired up for; It'll end up displaying a mirrored image which would look proper once reflected off the mirror.

Sorry, somehow missed this; It's a PVM-20L5. I'll post a couple photos in the next thread. Any game in particular you'd like to see?

Only one is going to be DVI-I, and even if both connectors are, the card only has one DAC to handle output of analog signals.
Cord wise, just going with a basic DVI-I to HD15(VGA) adapter would be the best route. From there, HD15/VGA to BNC.

This will get you RGB to your PVM, but unless it's an L5 or D-Series BVM/other Multiformat model, you're going to need to jump through additional hoops to get a signal appropriate for the monitor.
crt_emudriver is the way a lot of people go for getting 15khz video output from AMD cards; It's a custom driver which allows you to spit out low enough resolution video for your PVM to accept.
Alternatively, you can get it to do it manually in linux via xrandr or otherwise if you're feeling frisky.
The other direction you can take is passing it through a downscaler like an Extron VSC or similar, but this is going to give you 480i and add a bit of delay.

Depends on your area, but people capable of doing in-depth work on them have been dwindling for years and years.

>>5518957
What GPU? The DVI output may be DVI-I which still has all the required pins for analog (VGA) output available.

>>5518971
A good portion of what the PS2 is outputting is going to be 480i, which your TV likely isn't going to treat the best to begin with. If possible feeding it Component just to have something clean for it to process can go a long ways. Composite is just asking for whatever it ends up displaying to look like trash.

>>5519000
Assuming you mean using the PSP as the emulator, the TV out is going to end up windowboxed terribly so regardless of whether you're doing interlaced or progressive output, and the quality of said emulation is going to be pretty trash as well. Any PSP native software gets stuck with this as well, so PSP games also leave a good bit to be desired.

Would be decent for PS1 games though, as those will output at fullscreen and 240p even when set to "interlaced" in the system settings. GO would be the nicest model to do this with, given the ability to pair a DS3 with it.

Still here; Just sort of had to back away from a lot of stuff for health reasons. Had the thread(s) up but haven't really been following much. Haven't even been posting on the server much either.

>Kya's guides
Those are so incredibly out of date it's not even funny. I want/need to redo them, but any time I've attempted to everything falls of the rails due to technicalities requiring "accurate" representation ballooning the size a guide would be and would end up sacrificing readability. Soon, maybe (or not)

Assuming you mean grey blacks, it's a brightness issue which is common with the FD Trinitron PC CRTs. Screen voltage "G2" is controlled in software on these sets and requires you to connect up to it via a serial connection and dedicated software (winDAS).
If you mean grey blacks and just relatively poor light output, it could be the previous bit plus it having seen a hell of a lot of use and has just grown dim as such. Sadly, there really isn't a fix for this aside from cranking the contrast as high as you can manage without throwing other things off, and that is just going to rush things even further.

Pics would help though, obviously.

It's your standard 70khz office CRT.

Nice for Dreamcast and older PC games, maybe 720p from a console if you can put up with the letterboxing. 1080p is technically within it's horizontal frequency limit, but isn't going to look good.

Recommended resolutions for PC usage would be 1024x768@85hz or 1152x864@75hz. 1280x960@70 would be right at the edge and the monitor may not even let you do it; You won't be resolving much extra at that point over the other two though.

>> No.5375449 [View]

>>5374770
It's possible those are the only two resolutions with presets. It's also strange seeing the specs listed for it, since there's another model using 5403 (which in turn is an alt of the 5402) which is spec'd higher and is definitely not limited to just resolutions around 105khz.

The fact that it's built on a the G1 chassis also makes me think it should be fine taking whatever resolution. I'd say it's definitely worth grabbing either way, given that it's free.

Download a different camera app than the one that comes with the phone. I don't use a phone for photos, but several people who do have reported much much better results with a 3rd party camera app with more manual controls.

If you have access to a softmodded Wii or a chipped/exploited GC, download and run GCMM and copy a RAW rip of the memory card to an SD card; From there, you can use a PC based utility to open said RAW and extract whatever non-corrupted save files are there. From there, format the memory card and use GCMM to import those save files back on to it, or preferably a memory card that is reliable.
