Here is the general overworld palette, the slots are sorted left to right, top to bottom and each block is the size of a normal overworld sprite (16x24)

Palette slot 1 (top-left) is interpreted as the transparent color, but is apparently the exact same green as slot 5 (column 1 row 2).
If you didn't get that or it creates problems in your sprite, just feel free to use any color as the "transparent color"

Requirements to accept an overworld sprite:
>Currently only accepting sprite groups 001 to 105 at the moment
>Color palette is accurate, save for the transparent slot
>sprite size and number of sprites is accurate to the group you are offering to replace
>will not accept sprite group 101

reminder: how your sprite can be removed
>step 1: multiple people show distaste toward your sprite
>step 2: someone creates an alternative to your sprite
>step 3: a strawpoll is held to decide which sprite gets into the game
>step 4: poll is closed after 5 votes, more if the thread becomes more populated, and a decision is reached to either keep your sprite until there is a better alternative or replace your sprite with the alternative

I don't think preserving the themes of Earthbound is very important when we've already replaced Porky with the Negative Man
Text edits are very possible and I plan on at least changing the text before every major fight, since Franky probably won't be able to introduce himself as Franky anymore. Actual edits to the map, the story progression, and so-on would be cumbersome and I've never tried it. slap an industrial-sized maybe on any major change to how the story plays out.

Yes
As far as I can tell, every time a sprite is reused EXCEPT for Starman Junior, it's the same enemy only with different properties. For example, if you want an enemy to have more than four moves you had to make it into two enemies and give each of them a "move" that "transforms" it into the other enemy entry. Also, for enemies like Master Belch and Clumsy Robot, who have unwinnable states, a separate enemy is made for the unbeatable version of that enemy.

In the RAR linked in the OP you can look at the "enemy config.yml", which is a text document controlling all of the game's enemies. Their id in here is the same as in the sprite table, so that's how I found out which was starman and which was junior
