I get the feeling that Scarlet Grace is basically that? It may not be using everything, but, on the surface, it definitely gives off the feeling as "bringing together the best of SaGa" while still being true to Kawazu's philosophy.

This is completely aside, but sort of related. I've been rewatching the anime Overlord recently. It's an anime about an MMO player who gets transferred to a fantasy world and inheriting the stats, skills, and equipment of his character.

The MMO in the anime, Yggdrasil, honestly reminds me of the original SaGa trilogy.

There are multiple races, and they all work differently, and they have classes to go along with them.

I'd love to see Kawazu go back to the SaGa style of designing your own team members, having a variety of races to choose from, and things like that.

Let's be optimistic. I think RPG fans have changed over the years and will hopefully be more accepting of a game like SaGa.

The graphics aren't exactly SUPER HIGH DEFINITION 4K MEGAPIXEL but at the very least it's got a nice art style, great music, and a bunch of interesting systems that might appeal to people hoping for games outside of the norm.

Let's positive thinking, Anonymous, and perhaps we'll be rewarded for it.

The load times are the only major issue they have, if they can fix that then Scarlet Grace will be a really great game.

I'm not too fussed about the lack of dungeons, since the game looks like it'll have content to make up for it.
