I think the inherent problem is that Tibia, being the oldest mmorpg on the market, heavily relies on nostalgia and word of mouth. I severely doubt any change - next to reverting the pvp system, opening 7.4-7.6 and earlier version servers or otherwise other major fixes would draw a large number of players back. Cipsoft has stated before that FACC is half their playerbase. Free accounts keep the balance of the game in check... if everyone was premium (let's assume only prem can play) then we'd have a horrible problem in terms of hunting spots, more so than we already have. There are VERY few worthwhile facc hunting areas so the entirety of the old world would be gone to shit (it is this way on premia for the most part minus botters being discreet). I just think the ship has sailed to draw in players without some major change in how things are done. Botters are still a huge problem and having a paywall won't stop them - they are driven by players already funneling in cash as it is. My buddy operated 3 knights and make approx. 30 mil gold over the course of a few months, all he had to do was invest initial prem scrolls into them and they could fund themselves very quickly after 100. Anyway I just think severing the free aspect is a bad idea on the whole. The game is playable as facc, not very greatly, but its playable. If anything, adding a mobile market would seriously spike the playerbase. The game is so basic they'd be able to connect iOS and Android/Windows phone/tablet players to us - and as we know, its a huge market. Next time you reply to people try to be a bit nicer too btw, I was just making a damn joke
