I felt Hexen 2 was the weakest of the entire series and shouldn't have the been the third and final game in the Serpent Rider trilogy. If it were side story or continuation of Hexen 1, not directly involved with the Riders, like Heretic 2 was to 1, then I wouldn't mind so much. Assuming they kept the setting of Cronos and not the bland, uninspired world of Thyrion.

I liked the idea that Hecatomb would've done its own thing with the series while furthering the story like Hexen did to Heretic; instead we just got Hexen 1 but worse in literally every regard.
