Cave Noire. It's a roguelike with really short levels and goals like "collect 4 pieces of gold" or "defeat 5 enemies". It takes a decent amount of skill though and it has a bunch of secrets and stuff. You'll need to use an English patch to play it. I keep it on my phone to play on an emulator. You can beat a dungeon in like 5-10 minutes so it's perfect to play in short bursts.

Cave Noire is one of thefew roguelikes on the handheld. Azure Dreams and Shiren are also available on GB/C.
I think it was Lufia 2 that had one dungeon that played like a roguelike, though ofcourse it doesn't involv perma death.

I though Nightmare of Druaga is more of a dungeon crawler.

Magi-Nation for the GBC is really good.
Most people won't or do not want to believe it, but the Ultima: Runes of Virtue games for the GB are actually good.
For something different you can play Cave Noire, Survival Kids, Mysterium or Azure Dreams.
A whole bunch of Megami Tensei Gaiden games.
Metal Walker is kinda neat. Deja Vu and Shadowgate for PC ports.
Sword of Hope 1 and 2 are intersting.
