>there are now no less than 12 enemies hitscanning you
>almost clear the room
>enemies warp in behind you
>they just appear out of nowhere lol we ran out of walls to put enemies behind ok
>finally finish everything off
>enter next room
>enemies swarm in from every side
>move slightly to the left...
>...........

it's not like this game doesn't have variety though, who can forget the platforming sections or the switch puzzles or the acid crossing, or my favorite, the platforming-acid-crossing-switch puzzles! fuck this game

Almost all levels are impossible? And the missions are literally hell?

Why did it go so wrong? Was the only thing stopping the LOL ROOM FULL OF GUIZE EVERY PART OF EVERY LEVEL level design from being in the first game the performance concerns? Was Doom's flow an accident, while what they actually wanted was circle strafing while holding down fire at 999 enemies until the game ends?
