Yeah. There are just so many issues. Enemies have faster response times, longer ranges, and even the lowliest thugs take a lot of hits. Your best bet is to flying kick, except arbitrarily the game stops you from moving forward with the flying kick, which means you stop short.

This is ignoring that the game throws instant-death hazards at you. A lot of them. The best bet against these is to hit 100,000 points for an extra life, but there's no real way to get extra points from the enemies you kill, so you can't play particularly good and get more points.

Holy fuck. There is... wow. I'm seriously finding it nigh impossible to kill this guy. See my lives? Those were at 6 when I started this fight. If you get too far away, he does a fast divebomb attack (bear in mind, enemy attacks trigger faster than yours) and if you get close enough to hit, he sits there and blocks every shot indefinitely.

This might be another shot at NES games. Again.

Here we go. This level. There are a bunch of rocks you can slip on and take damage with ambiguous hit boxes. If the avalanche touches you, you die.

Seems like it's impossible to dodge these guys. You can't move fast enough and there's not enough room to keep them off-screen.

For those wondering about the high life count, I'm going to start high and try to work down. Whichever the last one I beat the game with comes above when I stop or when time is up will be my limit and I'll respect anyone who can get past that.

Seriously, good luck, this game is pretty bad. I'll screenshot the real fucker of a level in a bit.

Yes, yes it does send you to Stage 1. Also I take back what I said earlier. The hit detection is so bad and the enemies have a longer range than you by default. They also surround you, you move slower than them, and blocking does nothing.

Ah. You can run. Fun facts:

1.) If you walk to close to the edge, your character leans over and will fall if you wait too long (longer than 1 second)

2.) You have a special sweep kick that takes HP. No one would use this because you can't get HP back I think.

I died because I hit a gap that I couldn't jump across and it wasn't giving me any indication of what to do. It's... not quite SNES Batman-tier bullshit at least.
