I'm just gonna assume he's talking about cheaters in a multiplayer setting. But still, in retro gaming, that can't really be an issue. If you don't like it, and you see a guy putting a gameshark under SF64, you could easily go "dude, no".

Also, I think all this has lead to how I operate in modern games. If it's multiplayer and I'm not really good, there's a very high chance I'll hack the shit out of it because fuck people.

I still have many of my cheating devices. I've always figured that when I beat the game, I'll cheat the shit out of it for some extra enjoyment.
I used to print out walkthroughs of tough parts of games, as well as massive lists of codes, and kept them in a binder. I still have the damn thing. I think the longest thing I ever printed out was the entire walkthrough to Mario Sunshine.

I also have a reasonably large guide book collection.
