I've gone through this whole megastage multiple times and I still can't open this door. I'm starting to think I needed to collect a lot of things... I don't know. I think the game has just been made impossible without a guide. However, this the gauntlet, so I simply must stop.

Words cannot describe how much I disliked that stage. Fast enemies that could shoot through walls, at angles, and knock you off the edge just for kicks. Health was far and few. We boss rush now?

Now that I'm tricked out, he's pretty easy. The magic staff ate lots of his life and a couple clever parries with the sword and a few lashes of the morning star sent him packing.

Apparently each dungeon has an "Item" to it. The tower had a morning star (which doubled as a hookshot), the cave a magic staff, etc. This one is a sword. Time for the boss.

We pink dragons again.

Finally, I reach the castle after finishing the other levels. The boss of the tower, and the last dungeon I did, was Medusa. Apparently beating her up causes her to turn into a naked girl.

The game is actually pretty sweet in general. Good music, good graphics, and some pretty nice gameplay. The RPG stuff is a bit weak, but there's a surprising amount of exploration in each dungeon.

I found a staff in this place, it takes a massive amount of MP to fire everywhere. The place is full of black jellyfish and fishmen who shoot lightning. The boss though... is a ninja. I'm concerned.
