It ran smoother than and, in my opinion, looked just as good or better than the PS2. Why did it fail more quickly than other consoles? Were developers just used to going with Sony from the PS1, or was the PS2 somehow better to program for?

What police department have you been to that had a set of locks that corresponded with card suits?

Thanks, I'll try that later.

This thread made me play 3 again.

But fuck these weird boxes.

Oh. I assumed it was from RE6 Mercenaries or something due to the post. I remember reading that Chris was like in his mid-thirties in RE5, so that's why I made that inference. In that game Jill did look older, but then again her entire look was different so I didn't really know what to think.

Should Jill be looking kind of haggard at this point? Those characters are nearing 40 now, aren't they? She still has the face of a 16-year-old in that shot.

I felt like more than anything bringing Wesker back diminished the impact of watching him get killed spectacularly by the Tyrant.

Earthbound is one of the only games I wish had less content. I just got bored of the same type of shit at some point in the game and never finished it. And I felt like I played an entire game, too. I mean, I wish I'd seen the rest of the main story I guess, but it just reuses its tricks after a certain point.

I had the same thing happen with the third game. I liked that one too, but I just dropped it after this part where you go to pull out one of the pins in a volcano-type area. I was just... done.

LEGENDARY RONALD DECK

He only drew a Dratini and I beat him instantly.

Does the Holy Mother of Nisan count?

No? Then I vote for Justin's mom in Grandia.

Least favorite: The hippopotamus mom in Alexandria in FF9.

I feel like 3 had the most style out of all the games and this was its strength. I remember all the little details about 3 most despite that my dad and I only played the first two at the time. Jill's cool outfit(s), environments that felt more at home somehow, and an enemy that to me was more iconic than the Tyrant from which the concept was more or less copied.

Probably bought it used and the store overlooked a second disc. I was at the library once and was checking out a double CD set for which I previously only saw the 2nd disc in their library. When I got to the counter the woman tried to advise me that I was checking out two of the same album and I had to point out the error.

The sequel's is just as bad, which is weird because it's basically the entirety of the Metal Gear Solid cast and they're mostly talented voice actors. I maintain that in both games' cases it was just because the voice direction was terrible and no attempt was made to give the actors proper context for their lines.

No, I just like moderate resistance. That's what you get when you go through the game the first time.

>Having hillbillies with crappy circa 1920s rifles kill you when you're wearing power armor and using a tesla cannon is retarded.
It doesn't make sense, no, but it makes for better game progression.

I have to admit, though it's a good game, I was sort of disillusioned when it turned out the whole thing was happening in your head. I think it took the cool creepy factor out of it that I initially experienced. It's still a decent story with good heady concepts, but it even has a... happy ending. Ick.

No, the enemies would all just all be buffed a set amount at the beginning in proportion to the level at which you start.

I know, and I'm saying I don't like it. It turns the battles into a joke. All they had to do was scale the enemies with the party's stats for New Game pluses since Chrono Cross didn't have levels anyway, right? Borderlands did this, and I know that came way later, but it's not exactly something you'd have to think very hard about for it to come to mind if you're creating a game.

I just don't think your method is as mathematically sound is all in terms of the proportionate number of turns you get. But I do believe that your method works.

Don't they get more moves in that sequence to compensate for all the stamina you've lost? I know that if one of your characters is in the negatives and another one uses a 3 attack, the negative person won't recover 3 stamina.

I fucking hate how Chrono Cross rewards you for transferring your data to a new file and taking a new path, but this only makes the game even easier.
