the idea of doomguy talking already existed in doom 2 rpg, doom resurrection, some quake easter egg in some port's secret comic and cut quake 3 lines in another console port, but otherwise it feels dumb to break silence just to say some comic book lines
at least the voice is better than what you hear in stuff like brutal doom

Playing Brutal Doom is like going to fine restaurant, ordering a well-crafter expensive meal and then putting shitloads of ketchup over it (not gore reference). It's just that it ruins the fun and challenging parts by making them into completely different, samey and cheap from what they are supposed to be. They reduce the actual art of well crafted encounters into some way of killing time by fucking around with Doom. You are free to ruin your dinner with shitloads of ketchup, and you are free to ruin your Sunlust with Brutal Doom. Just don't go telling everyone one that that ketchup mountain is the definite way to enjoy your entrecote.

What more can they possibly add? They already put this much work into iy, why stop here? If that Darren Aronofsky can get away with baby eating, then the sky's the limit for BD.
