I figured the holocron would be more of a quest hook than anything - the other players wouldn't know the wannabe Jedi had it, but the holocron's gatekeeper asked them to take it to Taris to have it unlocked.

The Jedi, like Obi-Wan, paid some scum for the ride. Difference is, they won't make it straight there.

What's everyone's favorite Player Characters ship?

E.g. the roughly Falcon esque ships that the whole party can zip around in

I'm looking for one that's more in line with subtly than speed or power. Something nice to give my Jedi PCs that they can avoid attention with but might not really win them a race

Closest thing I had to one, I remember I was laughing a lot when it happened. One of my friends was playing your standard Twi'lek tail-candy slut and would occasionally try to put her in magical realmy situations through the game. But our GM would usually find ways to cool him down. One time our party split in a Black Sun base, and me and my friend got captured and taken to the Hutt vigo in charge while the other half of the party got BTFO and had to recoop at our safehouse. across town. I was playing a mchuge mando bounty hunter because I'm not very creative. When the hutt dropped hints that the twi'lek would get the slave Leia treatment, her player was trying to contain his excitement. There was a fade to black as we were both taken to be processed.

Cut to my mando in a male version of the Leia outfit, draped over the Hutt like a trophy while the twi'lek had been dressed in even more concealing clothes and thrown in the dungeon. My friend was seething. I was laughing my ass off playing male stripper for the black sun goons until rescue arrived.

"Ho ho ho, so Jedi think she can come to Zurga's home and tell him what to do? HO HO HO!"
Around Zurga, his cronies laughed, partially for the nerve of this Twi'lek Jedi, but also because they were certain that if they didn't laugh when their master did, they'd be next on the chopping block.
"For this crime of hubris, I, the great Zurga the Hutt, sentence you to a week in the diagona pit."
The blue girl went pale. "What? But, but diagonas-"
"Ho ho ho, you will learn soon enough, little Jedi. Take her away!"
Two burly weequay laid grabbed her arms and bustled her out of the throne room towards the diagona pit. When they neared the room, she saw that Zurga was already there, along with his cronies.....
No, not 'already there', they'd just turned around. The pit was behind his throne and she'd just been lead around in a circle.
"Have a good time with my pets, little Jedi. I know your Master has," Zurga said, as the weequay pushed her in.
All in all, the Twi'lek reflected, this was literally the worst thing that could have happened on her first solo mission as a Jedi apprentice.

The way the party's liason dark jedi interacts with them has a decidedly Seventh Sister vibe in regards to the female captain.

With discretion. Elaborate death traps and spinning lightsabers only come after sufficient intelligence has been gathered.

I enjoyed the Gozanti back in Saga, before the Filoni times, before the Tie transporters. Flew and accelerated like a brick, but hit like a brick back.

Just make sure to handle him better than Spectre. Ever since Django, I'm realizing that Waltz plays a much better hero than a villain. I'd love to see him as a Jedi Master or a Rebel/NR officer. Or the token good Imperial who's a father to his troopers.
If you're looking for something with leg room, get them a Gozanti. Versatile, roomy, and can be found pretty much everywhere within and without the Empire.
Well, if you're doing FFG, you can homebrew anything, but playing OT is the easiest since everything for that era's fluff is already in the books for you. It really depends on what atmosphere you want for your players. Do you want them to be the status quo fighting terrorism? Go Old Republic/PT-era. Do you want them to be the good freedom fighters battling tyranny? Go OT-era.

Honestly, I get the vibe from my players they just want to be playing D&D, but I got them interested in sci-fi, and SW is as "D&D... in space!" as I can get without going spelljammer.

Edge'll do that just fine, and assuming they build for combat they shouldn't have a problem solving most situations with violence, though they'll end up in trouble a lot.

FFG is very OT era. You could do an old republic thing, though you'd need to take notes and refluff a lot of stats which is probably a pain in the dick to remember all the time. But if they're just scumming around, OT era works fine too.

She landed in waist-deep murky water.
On the plus side, it cushioned her fall, on the downside, she'd gotten some in her mouth and it tasted absolutely FOUL.
She floundered for a moment before she managed to right herself, breaking the surface gasping for air to shout something very rude.
That was when the first tentacle coiled around her leg.
Instead of yelling, the Twi-lek shrieked.
The tentacle snaked up her leg, under her robes and touched her pussy, which elicited another shriek.
Her hands flew into the water, trying to force the tentacle away from her most sacred place but the water and the slippery nature of the diagona meant that all her hands did was slide all over it.
Unfortunately, this only seemed to encourage the tentacle, which furiously rubbed her nether lips, causing her to moan out loud.
The Twi'lek was absolutely mortified, she couldn't be getting aroused by a tentacle raping her, absolutely not!
But why not? It had been so long since she'd had time to... enjoy herself, was this really so wrong?
But the Jedi Code forbid this kind of thing! At least... she thought it did.
As the Jedi tried to justify herself, she didn't consciously notice that her hands were still stroking and gripping the tentacle, but no longer were they trying to force it away.
More tentacles began to expore her body, snapping the young Jedi from her thoughts to realize see that several tentacles had snaked their way up her torso and were starting to tease her breasts.
The Twi'lek panted in open arousal now, watching the tentacles writhe under her robes.
Suddenly, she couldn't bear to be restricted by the garments.
She wanted to see them touch her, and also to touch herself freely.
I choose to believe thatthe unlabelled rooms next to the passenger quarters are the head.

Saga is good, especially for a very heroic/video-gamey feel. You kick a lot of ass and take a lot of names. And it has source books for KOTOR stuff.

Jedi get real powerful in the game though, and all the usual d20 trappings. If that doesn't bother you it's a fine system, which is about as completely published as it'll get.

>> No.44068074

Saga is basically the halfway point between 3.x and 4e. It was the test for a number of mechanics that 4e implemented (Force powers as encounter abilities, trained/untrained skills). Otherwise, pretty similar to 3.x in gameplay though not as horrifically unbalanced. Saga does favor Jedi to some degree, but there are monstrous builds out there that outdo just about anything that even most optimized Force builds can do.

>> No.44068093

The Twi'lek pulled at her robes, sodden and clinging as they were, each layer removed allowed her to see the tentacles better as they played with her pussy and her breasts.
The diagona helped her remove the garments, even being so contentious as to move them away so they wouldn't tangle.
Now the Jedi could see there were two of them, two eyestalks emerging from the water watching her.
One of the tentacles playing with her snaked up to tap her on the lips, tracing over them, leaving a trail of moisture.
The Twi'lek looked down at the tentacle and then up at the eyestalks, then gave it a lick.
Its taste surprised her, instead of the foulness of the water, it tasted like ryhscate.
She groaned in pleasure and licked it again, moaning in pleasure as it slid into her mouth, heedless of the audience, heedless of the Jedi Code.
All she cared about was how good it felt to be touched this way, to taste this firm length in her mouth.
The tentacle playing with her pussy below the water judged her to be aroused enough and stopped sliding against her, causing the Jedi to coo in disappointment.
Then she felt the tip poke into her and slowly the tentacle slid into her pussy, filling her as she moaned around the tentacle filling her mouth.
Once it finally reached her womb, the tentacle slowly withdrew, causing her to moan again. Then it thrust in again, and again, building up a rhythm.
In her mouth, she felt the tasty tentacle start to thrust in and out in counterpoint.
This was heaven, she thought, being fucked in two holes. The only thing missing was-
The young Jedi felt a tentacle poke at her ass.
Her eyes widened and her head whipped around, the tentacle thrusting into her mouth following the movement and never breaking rhythm.
There was a third eyestalk, behind her.

Also, I personally feel like it's one of those games you have to think of big parts of your build a lot in advance, because there's definitely optimal ways to do things and sub-optimal ways to do things and you don't want to blow your limited advancement options in ways that don't get as useful.

>> No.44068129

Saga is the better of the two d20 Star Wars systems and plays like a cross between 3.5 and 4. Its condition track keeps combat from dragging out if you got a dm that's paying attention. If you're used to gm'ing d20, planning should be fairly easy, but a mat makes things a lot easier-movement is given in squares as is some abilities. Ship combat is pretty easy to pick up if you get how d20 combat works.

Like other d20 systems, its biggest strengths are its resources and customizing ability, which offers a lot of player options but can lead to trap and overpowered builds. One thing Saga does very well is emulate the feel of characters in the films-heroic classes start off struggling against mooks but eventually are taking on bunkers of them like Han and Leia in RotJ. Problem is this applies to the Jedi as well, so parties either need to be all mundanes or all Jedi at the start or just understand that Jedi are space gishes from level 1. I've seen someone awaken to their 'force sensitivity' later in the game, which works all right and is fairly balanced.

The tentacle poked her asshole again.
The Jedi frantically shook her head no. She hadn't prepared for anything back there!
A little fun was all well and good, but she wasn't in to pain-play!
Then another tentacle slapped her ass firmly, not hard enough to hurt but hard enough to remind her who was in control here.
The tentacle poked at her asshole a third time and stayed there, pushing and twisting gently.
The sensation was surprisingly pleasant and that whole area seemed to be slowly numbing, did these things have some kind of muscle relaxant they excreted?
Finally, the tip of the diagona's tentacle made it past the initial barrier and the Twi'lek's eyes rolled up as she moaned around the piston in shoving in and out of her mouth.
Slowly and relentlessly, her ass was filled by inch after pleasurable inch of tentacle, the slight numbness only adding to her pleasure. Finally, after what felt like hours, her ass was completely stuffed.
Then, it too began to withdraw slowly and shove back in. It built up speed much slower than the others but it felt just as good.
When it was finally pumping at the speed of the other tentacles, they formed a three-part piston, none of them ever quite bottomed out as another pushed in or ever quite withdrawn as another pulled out.
The young Jedi had tentacles roving all over her body now, roving over her arms and playing with her fingers, tickling between her toes, even caressing her lekku.
Each pass over her head-tails made her shiver with pleasure.
A whole week, her last conscious thought said. A whole WEEK of this pleasure. Thank you so much, Master!

And then she knew no more than the pleasure of touch and pressure and thrust.

Excuse me, I have to ... uh *ahem*. I've got a bit more so just hang on.

The Twi'lek pondered this for a while. "Well... I guess if I get to come back, I'll go home."
"But only if I get to come back!" She clarified.
"Believe me," the Jedi Master said. "You won't believe how often Jedi come here."

I actually like this ship design. Not enough "junker" ships around, and this thing comes off as terribly frail.

Bretty good, but that whole "useless" bit between the solar arrays should be some kind of "attic" or something at least. They would realistically use every inch of a ship like that.

Always liked these. I actually love a lot of the patrol boat-type ships from Star Wars, up to and including the Blockade Runner.

This I don't care for so much. Senseless foils are senseless.

Ah yes, this is up my alley too. I remember this ship fondly.

Foils make much more sense on this than that other boat.

Not a fan of most bubble ships. MonCals get a pass though.
>Nova courrier
... wait a minute. Does this thing have like, a single huge capital weapon mounted on it that can only fire a few times a minute at most? I thought I recalled having a ship in an old, OLD d6 SW game that was called the Nova courier and it was outfitted as such. It'd be odd to see that this is what it actually looked like, because it served us damn well indeed. Might make me rethink how much I like it.

Ugly as sin. Love it.

10/10 very flying boat

Never really appealed to me for some reason.

Very nice design. I like how "different' it is from the 1300 but still echoes the design cues. Good precursor ship (or I assume so, since it's a lower model number.)

Speaking of ship I love... love this thing too. Just right up my alley looks-wise.

>Bretty good, but that whole "useless" bit between the solar arrays should be some kind of "attic" or something at least. They would realistically use every inch of a ship like that.
The space next to it is marked "access passage" so presumably the area is filled with machinery, without much usable room. It is an engine after all.

Actually its Gallorfree, same as the Rebel Transport.

And I don't recall it having capital grade weapons, but after Gallorfree went bankrupt the rebels bought a LOT of couriers and outfitted them as gunships with concussion missile launchers and heavier armament (these missiles made it into the F&D stats, personally I'd just remove the launchers, add an extra hardpoint and drop the price to give to players).

Well Leia starts by getting captured and then gets rescued, even if they sliiiightly remixed it by her already being out of direct captivity when they got there. I can't remember Empire specifics but she gets wrecked alongside the other Rebels, for the most part. In Jedi she befriends a cute teddie bear. Her iconic appearance is being a slave girl in a space bikini.

I mean, I know they can make up any damn reason they like because it's fiction, so it'll always be "justified" within in-universe, but the fact she wasn't remotely a jedi yet Luke rises to such heights he takes out the 2 big cheeses of the Empire.

You can make anything like that. The feeble attempt I mentioned above for Leia not being directly in captivity on the Death Star is a similar thing. The token black guy of Lando. It also doesn't get much more self-inserty than Luke himself. Useless retard from a farm becomes galactic-empire-overthrowing-badass.

Seeing how there have been like 3 EotE/FoD books released in the last month that hasn't been scanned. I've collected all the tidbits of info about the player stuff from them that has popped up here in the general in here
Just the stuff about the guns from Stronghold. As well as bird race, armors, force talents, and droids in Gatekeeper, not sure if that is all of Gatekeeper.

I just have it in an album for my own sake until they get scanned so figured I'd share it here in case anyone missed it/will ask for it.

Everything I've heard, is that its really pretty - from the sound, music, art, its very well done in that regard, very immersive...

...but, thats pretty much it. The gameplay is solid, but theres not much to it. Plus, EA's aggressive stance on DLC means that in order for the game to get "better" you have to dump more money into it

Some people really love it, some people really dont.

>> No.44072795

Gatekeeper is up on torrents now, actually.

It's mediocre. There really isn't a ton of depth to it. If you're pretty big on multiplayer, it might be worth it at a cheaper price, but not $60/$110. Also, PC is pretty dead, as in I've waited 20 minutes multiple times at different times and I've never been able to get into a Fighter Squadron match with the minimum people in the past week. Supposedly Xbox One isn't much better, but PS4 still has a fair amount of people apparently.

I guess it depends on what you want out of it. It has great production values so it looks and sounds like the movies. Endor in particular looks amazing. But there are so few maps you can't really play it for long stretches without cycling around, the air combat sucks, and a lot of the small map modes are dumb. Grabbing it on sale to play with friends? Could be worth it. For $60? No. For $70 to get a bunch of crap already in the game and emotes no one uses? Retarded.

Ok. /swg/, I'm in need of your help.

I posted a couple generals ago about getting into the X-Wing miniatures game-- specifically that I got my father hooked as well. He was big into WWII games when he was a kid and something about the game tickled his fancy (possibly its resemblance to some game called Luftwaffe).

I love that me and my father now have this nerdy thing to share, and it has sparked some imagination in him-- he wants to craft a sort've campaign system onto it not unlike his favorite WWII game "Battle of Jutland". If you've never heard of it, it splits a game into two phases; part one has the one player roaming his fleets about the Mediterranean searching for the other player, who is secretly marking off his moves towards certain objectives.

So we are putting together this idea and I'd love some feedback. Actual X-Wing fighting is unchanged-- we are overlaying this hex-map campaign thing on top. I'm also only designing for what I own, which is as of now a TFA core, a vanilla core, Most Wanted, and last night I got Imp and Re Aces.

>Imperials have 2 stationary bases and 1 roaming base. Each stationary base has an Area of Control radius of 6 hexes. The roaming base--a Star Destroyer--has an Area of Control radius of 4 hexes.
>Imperials have 5 squadrons (each is a 60pt. list). Two must be deployed within the AoC of the Star Destroyer, while the other 3 are split however the Imp player decides.
>Rebels have a single hidden base, chosen and marked at the campaign's start.
>Rebels have 3 squadrons (each is 60pt.). They are assigned to missions secretly.

>At the beginning of the campaign, the Rebel must trace a 'supply route' from one edge of the map to his secret base. It need not be the shortest route possible, but it cannot double-back and must be relatively direct.
>Each campaign turn, the Rebel assigns missions in secret, then the Imp player moves his Star Destroyer and deploys squadrons.

>> No.44074212

How many Tie Fighters are usually in a Victory Class Star Destoyer?

My players are about to hit the Tatooine Blockade and will be facing a VID with some rebels popping in to help out and I need some numbers.

>> No.44074278

>If the Rebel 'supply route' is within the Star Destroyer's AoC it is noted and marked on the map. If a squadron is deployed in that hex, the Imperials may attack the Rebel's supply transports triggering a mission (basically forces the Rebs to reassign one of their squadrons).
>If the Rebel base is within the SD's Area of Control, it is noted and marked. Triggers an 'end of campaign' mission. Big clusterfuck.

The Rebels' missions take place within the Imp base's AoC, and are a series of attempts to take down the two bases' defenses for a final assault.

We haven't worked out enough of the mid-game for me to confidently say what the end-game would resemble but that is about the gist of what we're hoping it'll look like.

Current priorities;
>Getting an actual map together
>Probably bumping up all the 60pt. lists to 100pt. lists now that I own Imp and Rebel Aces as well.
>Putting together the various missions and how to trigger them

So what do ya'll think? Neat? Terrible? Should I go kill myself?

It is worth remembering that there are a few retractable guns, and really Arquitens are small. Not only that, they do carry tie fighers (4x each I think). So a light border-patrol vessel plus 4x tie fighters is really more than enough to do bording actions, contraband searches, and do escorts for logistical freighters and stuff. They aren't "ship of line" war ships, they are "hey there may be some pirates on this tiny asteroid, go level their colony" type ships.

I think the Arquitens makes for a great ship for a small cell for an RPG, like an imperial version of the Rebel Blockade Runner. Speaking of which, the Arquitens fucked up a RBR at the opening of SW: Rebels "wings of the master".

I was always annoyed that destroyers in real life weren't that large compared to other ship classes. I mean, you have it named "destroyer," and it's basically an up-armed frigate? That's a name that belongs on something more intimidating than that.

Her first appearance after stuffing the plans in R2-D2 has her fighting a retreat against stormtroopers. After being captured she endures torture and still routinely insults both Vader and Tarkin, the two most powerful people in the Empire save for the Emperor. After her planet is destroyed before her eyes, the first thing she does to the stormtrooper that enters her cell, who to her can only be the guy taking her to her execution, is insult his height. Then when Han and Luke's plan falls apart, she grabs a blaster and plugs some stormtroopers again, and gets them out blasting open a grate and diving in. Then she clearly points out to Han that they're being tracked, because she understands military strategy.

In Empire she plays an effective military commander, and bugs out with Han so she can help get the last transports out. She later has to balance being that Alliance figurehead while also trying to balance her affections for Han. She continues to defy the bad guys and still doesn't give up when he's taken by Boba, plugging shots into the ship's side as it leaves. Then she proves instrumental in saving Luke.

In Jedi, she's Plan A in saving Han, which fails, but she still chokes out Jabba because fuck that guy. Carrie FOUGHT on set to kill Jabba on-screen. If anyone was going to put her character in that position, she was damn well going to kill the fucker because Leia ain't no bitch. She participates in the raid on the Death Star, tackling some scout troops on her own and forcing Luke to follow, and succeeding her diplomacy roll with the Ewoks. Then she plugs more stormtroopers in the raid itself, even when she's hit and cornered.

Leia pulls her own. She ain't no bitch.

Same thing with Mad Max Fury Road.
Everything in that movie was in some form or variation already in the first two movies. Even the fighting old lady, which was the grandma in the first film and the badass female warriors were around in the second film.
Yet people seem to think that the film is somehow making a political statement, when the women in the Mad Max films always have been pretty emancipated and Fury Road just continues the established themes. Destroyers were originally called Torpedo Boat Destroyers (TBDs), and were designed to be fast, heavily armed, and maneuverable escorts for larger ships. After WW 2, their armaments upgraded considerably and now they have guided missiles. This has made battleships, and battlecruisers completely superfluous, and a waste of materials. Meanwhile the modern destroyers have even begun to supplant cruisers.

The weaksauce cannons of those AT-ATs rustled my jimmies that episode. Probably the only thing I didn't like about it. Last 30 years, any time an AT-AT fires on anything, it's treated like the most killtacular vehicle weapon in the setting's entire history. So it's weird to see it nerfed so much that two of them concentrating fire on an old tank doesn't immediately destroy it.

But that AT-TE was so fucking sweet, I'm not that mad about it. The writers just need to be really careful about presenting clone wars technology as superior to Imperial tech.

At least the ones in the episode didn't quite look as meaty as the ones in ESB. Makes them come off as weaker prototypes than the Blizzard models Veers was fielding.

Well even that doesn't make sense, it's extra content. While there are certain instances of content being clearly cut out - like TW3 having less haircuts than the TW2 until the DLC was taken into account, though that was free so it was a marketing stunt rather than greed - it's generally a myth. Compare that $190 SF2 I mentioned above to SFIV that came out priced about $60. The former had 8 characters, 2 were clones. The latter had about characters - but oh no, costume DLC! Costumes, a think none of the previous games had so you couldn't claim they'd been "removed", yet people did.

Anyway, just had to get that off my chest even though it's OT.

Again, extra content is extra content regardless of when it was done. There's such a thing as developing things alongside the core content, at additional development costs, then charging a premium later. If people paid the equivalent of $190 for 7 characters and a clone in 1994, it's really fucking strange to bitch about paying $60 for 40 characters about 10 years later because the extra costumes were on the disc, or whatever. They obviously spent a lot more time and money on the base game then even more on the costumes, yet only charged less than 1/3 for it.

The main reason we have DLC is because they need to make "premium content" on top of the core content in order to charge anywhere near what games should cost with inflation. Yes there are cases like Saints Row 3 where they shit out a 15-hour game with a ton of DLC, but that's incredibly rare compared to games that cost half of what they used to and have multiple times the content.

Battlefront might be low on content, I don't dispute that; it might also just be a terrible game, I don't dispute that. Thing is, Super Mario Bros cost well over $100 if you adjust for inflation and it takes about 2 hours to complete. Even doing absolutely every quest in the original Fallout will only take you around 10 hours. Again, it cost the equivalent of around $100. Seen as an absolute classic, which it is, but no hint of "blargh they ripped us off" even though a sequel made in the same engine was released less than a year later.

Anyway, how about that Star Wars?

I think the "Star" in Star Destroyer is a comment on its range and capacity for independent action. They are able to operate on huge distances for a warship of that size in the Star Wars Universe without support. A Super Star Destroyer is referred as such because it has a massive range and can operate without support, acting as a command ship for a fleet of Star Destroyers. The super star destroyer is the same size as a dreadnought or battleship, but those leviathans require massive fleets of support craft to keep them running and therefore rarely leave they home bases around Coruscant, Kuat, or Byss.

A Star Destroyer can be anywhere in the galaxy ready to enforce the emperor's will. If your outer rim shithole feels like rising up, thinking they're beneath the empires notice, you can bet there will be a star destroyer on their doorstep in a week.

Okay, sure, Palapatine is obviously evil but they didn't know that - and it's still not established in the original trilogy what's so evil about him other than acting like a pantomime villain.

Without having onscreen information on how the rest of the plan securing went, insufficient data. Maybe shit went south and she was the only one able to intercept?

>Couldn't the Empire just change the exhaust vent and let the Rebels keep the plans?
It's not like the death star plans had a 'oh by the way don't let anyone stuff proton torpedos in this' footnote by the thermal exhaust port, all the empire knew was the plans had been stolen, they'd have to sit and pore over the designs themselves to try and figure out what the rebels were planning, and as was pointed out in the assault briefing, the empire didn't particularly consider one-man ships a threat to the thing, so they may not even catch it until it's too late, as Tarkin's one aide did during the battle, and asked if he wanted a shuttle on standby.

There's a couple of tropes for that... One of them is about how the "bad guys" often times don't seem to be every doing anything bad. Such as the spac pirates from Metroid... Aside from pirates in their name, and some lore in Prime, they don't ever do much more than build tubes on deserted planets.

Another is "kicking the dog". Which is pretty much what Tarkin did in A New Hope. It's the whole "we haven't seen him be evil, let's make him kill a defenseless planet to prove it!"

Take it as you will, tropes being obnoxious as they are. But it's still common to see "big bads" not actually doing anything all that bad. Such as Star Trek's Klingons, Firefly's Alliance, or Star Wars' Empire.

Contrary to the EU "everything the empire has is shit" what we see in the movies is that the imperial stuff wrecks shit like you wouldn't believe.

Consider xwings vs ties. People say "muh shields" all the time, but how often does an xwing or ywing go down in only a shot or two during the Death Star trench run? Not only that, watch the scene closely, the tie fighter cannons literally walk to the target, indicating (at least to me) that they have surprisingly good targeting computers compared to the rebels.

Imperial star destroyers were a whole beast, like if you mashed a whole carrier battle group together.
- armaments mentioned by anon
- a whole wing of tie fighters (72), which is about a whole US Supercarrier, plus assorted landing craft
-9700 some storm troopers
-armored vehicles
-prefabricated garrison that can be dropped onto a planet as a FOB in minimal time

In short- a star destroyer is an Arleigh Burke plus a Gerald Ford carrier plus a troop transport that holds an entire armored division inside it! and they are ready to drop that on the planet of their choice. And that children is what force projection looks like- a near self sustaining invasion force complete with its own artillery, armor, and air support.

Oh and the empire built some 25,000 of them.

>> No.44078830

The only evil thing we see them do is blow up Alderaan. But that one act is irredeemably despicable.

Also remember that the Empire didn't realize it was a weakness at all until Tagge figured it out on his latest review right before Yavin. Motti was fine ignoring the rebels and the plans because he was confident the Death Star was invincible. Tarkin just wanted to rebels captured wholesale. If he got the plans along the way, so be it, but his main goal was eradicating the rebels once and for all.
