No, he was talking about a knife that was considered a war crime. A trench knife is a knife attached to a knuckle duster, used to pierce through a steel helmet from above when storming a trench, so it was the only one that came to my mind

Depends on who you talk to! Anybody with a functioning sense of empathy, well, yeah, obviously they won't find it entertaining, but I generally don't look for those on 4chan. The only things we can empathize with are housecats, because they're fat, covered in hair, crave entertainment, have high opinions of themselves, and survive only by the graces of a person too emotionally attached to let them starve.

You know, my father has a story similar to that image that did generate laughter.

See, he worked as a nurse at a Veteran's Hospital. And every year, this church group of old women made a bunch of little gifts for the veterans. They'd hand-knit hats, mittens, etc. Make some long-lasting fruitcake or cookies. General gifts that anyone could use, as long as they were safe to avoid allergies. Then they'd drop off the gifts, already wrapped, with little tags like "Hand knit clothing" or "Baked goods- Contains peanuts". And the Hospital would hand them out to patients basically at random.

Which is how my dad ends up walking into this guy's room, and he's throwing a fucking fit. Vietnam Vet, lost his lower legs to a mine. Normally a cool guy, just a little rough around the edges. And my dad walks in, and basically says "Jesus, Frank, what the hell's got your balls in a knot. It's Christmas for God's sake."

And the vet snaps back "Greg, what the fuck is the bullshit?! Somebody's fucking with me!"

In the box were two hand-made slippers. The tag just said "Hand-knit clothing".

My dad looks at the slippers, looks at the guy, and just starts laughing. Like, gut-busting laughter. The guy stares at him for a moment like he's crazy, then looks at the box, and starts chuckling himself. Soon, they're both just dying with laughter, staring at the box.

Some little old lady had spent weeks knitting this slippers, with a little bunny design on the toe, to make some veteran's Christmas a little better. And they got sent to the guy with no feet. They couldn't stop laughing. She was walking around somewhere, proud of her actions, unknowing that random chance had turned her gift into a slap in the face.

The dude ended up trading them for a hat, but for a moment, some little old lady had accidentally ruined Christmas, and she'd never know
