Never said a damn thing about practical or impractical. Just that people suddenly demand Titans to be massive like in the old artwork. I'd consider plenty of that stuff as atmosphere building, rather than picture-realistic depictions. Much like Blance's pieces, which some hate for not being 100% accurate depictions of specific things from the world.
If we take the size of titans as given from the art, then we have to take everything else, right? Like hundreds of square kilometers of battleground just littered with dudes all over in one big moshpit, vehicles rolling over everyone with little regard for anything, tanks of unknown pattern, etc.
Look at this. Where are all those people coming from? Are they moving over a really steep hill? Why is no one minding the terribly steep ground and look like they're all moving forwards, even when they're all stacked on top of each other like a literal human wave? You just look at it, and you can pick the atmosphere, the smoke and battle and little regard for anything else (how much do you even see the ground in that, it's all guns and dudes and skulls and dust), but if you really start going over it anally, you can bitch about this and that till the cows come home.
Maybe instead of all these things, we should look into old fluff on titans. Are their size mentioned anywhere?
