>That would be a really powerful argument if there wasn't actually a lot more equipment that was dark/light-side exclusive
Thats exactly my point, chief. They were clearly trying to make neutral a "third alignment track" of sorts, but they never went anywhere with it. It fit with the general theme of the game, though, which you apparently missed entirely.
>Also, really? KOTOR2 was unfinished? I HADN'T NOTICED.
Well you have proven yourself pretty thick thus far. Regardless, I doubt neutrality would have been developed more even with more dev time, but the evidence is there that they were toying with the idea of Grey/Neutral Jedi support.
>Oh, god... now who's being a semantic faggot?
Its a completely different mechanic. Morality forces an inherent good/evil on the land that reputation does not. For example, in ME2 blowing up the Geth Outpost is considered evil despite the fact that I find brainwashing an entire society and rewriting their very personality to be way more fucked up than simply killing them off. Reputation doesnt have the same judgmental gravitas that morality systems do, they just tell you where you stand in the world. They also rarely have stat bonuses and abilities tied to them, giving you more freedom to alter them and toy around with the world as you wish.
>The gameplay mechanics are the same
Actually, the gameplay between KOTOR1 and 2 changed way more than the actual morality system. And I would say morality actually has more weight in KOTOR 1 since it changes the entire ending of the game post-Bastila confrontation.
>if it's not that Bioshock and Deus Ex aren't good FPS.
You seem to think Bioshock and DX are the ONLY good fps games out there simply because /v/ told you as much. Theres plenty of other ones out there, even ones /v/ likes, too! Like Hard Reset, EYE, Metro, Stalker, and so on.
