So I got a new player to 40K all together. I'm trying to figure out how to introduce them to the game simply, as we are about to play a rouge trader game and they wanna know more about the empire and what not. Whats a good short-er version of what the Empireum and the God emperor?

Introduce them to it in character.

Say that the Imperium is the collective domain of mankind, and at its head is the God-Emperor sitting on the Golden Throne of Terra, who watches over and guides all things within it.

It would be fantastic if you could get them through a whole campaign not sure if there even is an Emperor, or depending how you want to run things, how far the Imperium actually stretches.

Lexicanum can give them an Okay-ish primer on the Imperium, google it.

That is something I've already hinted at. Not flat out said like that but they get the feeling from what I've managed to say.

Might work, but the game might turn into a Dark Heresy thing... and they wanna be a healer...

Thank you. That does help a lot.

I would say warhamme 40 wiki http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Warhammer_40k_Wiki is better than Lexi.
