okay, so I'm thinking on selling my current army of tau to go buy more tau. I didn't know or even think about magnetizing everything when i started them. I'd do the entire just magnetize the ones i got, but i lost all my bits during a move so i can't redo them. plus i don't feel like having as many as i do, just wanna stick to small battle stuff.

a bit of either on the face would make it look toned, just thin it a bit because the new washs are thick as all hell. The lasgun can get alot out of the two and the armor is okay as of now but it wouldn't hurt

Some Eureka 28mm Bundeswehr (hardly) converted to become Space Bundeswehr!
Well, actually Bundesch├╝tzen, colonial soldiers of the Bundes Weltraum-Zustand. (Alliance of Interstellar Nations)
Eventually going to be reinforced by Defiance Games Panzergrenadiers as A grade troops.

Thin paints , use a wash, use a brush with a better point and highlight .

Also when you take photos , put up against a white back ground (empty sprue box works fine) and have the light source facing the target .

Hello elagan/tg/entelmen, I have a question for you all, were do you get your model painting supplies?

How thin we talking here, 1-1 ratio? I dipped the brush in water before dabbing it in the paint.

Its times like these that I wished I didn't live in New Zealand. The prices for any new models to paint, along with new paints is stupidly expensive. That and the local store closed down a few months ago, so the only place open is GW, the Bastards.

I just use an empty chinese tub , layered with a piece of kitchen towel , pour in water then drain it . Then just use it as a makeshift wet pallet

>> No.20436803

I'm looking at doing up a bunch of AoBR sluggas myself, but the biggest issue I have with them is they all have their melee weapons on the right and their pistols on their left, which will make them look a lot more uniform on the table than I'd like my Orks to be.
Will probably get a few of the 10-model boxes to mix it up a bit.

>> No.20436849

this was the first model in one of my boyz squads. I have 22 of them done in the last week sadly the rest are up in my desk at work but once they're done I'll haul em home and gets some snapshots.

Then you can do what I did, chop their arms off and reattach them in different poses.

(What I actually did was chop their arms off and replace them with shootas while making their poses more dynamic. Looks pretty good.)

I mean like, shoota boy arms. Not just shootas grafted on. I'm not that mad a dok yet.

SOME TIPS FOR THE FLOUNDERING PAINTER:

>WASH IS TALENT IN A CAN - NOT ANOTHER LAYER OF PAINT IF YOUR MODEL LOOKS LIKE >>20436595 THEN YOU USED TOO MUCH Go over it again with dry brushing the same color it originally was. This will look like it's actually shaded.

> PAINTING MODELS IS LIKE AMERICA - DON'T BE DARK AND YOU'LL DO FINE! >>20436472 Even if you want a darker color scheme do not make it... dark. Give your guardsman crisp colors by picking the next shade up in whatever line of paint you used. My personal method for folded cloth and muscley skin is go with the medium color you want, hi light with the lightest and wash with a layer of watered down darkest color. Seriously pic related, they're work in progress but you get the picture. It's quick and good for huge mob armies like Orks and Imp Gurrd.

>"BUT GORDON I'M A RAGING FAGGOT AND DON'T WANT TO TAKE YOUR ADVICE BECAUSE I WANT MY OWN UNIQUE PAINTING STYLE"

yeah fuck you. These techniques were learned not found. Read blogs and shit.

With that grill you need some sort of a hood ornament. Maybe a chrome plated squig
