Just finished Deliverance Lost and felt I should spoil it for all of you.

>The Alpha Legion has learned how to graft faces from fallen marines onto their operatives, the use this to infiltrate the Raven Guard as they retreat from Isstvaan.

>After taking a beating on Isstvaan the Emperor grants Corax access to his hidden laboratory.

>After using data from the primarch project Corax manages to create marines that are stronger than a World Eater and who grow to full size in mere days.

>Alpha Legion operatives infiltrate the Raven Guard and ruin the improved Raven Guard Geneseed using raw warp matter.

>The Alpha Legion never heeded the edict of Nikea and continued to use Librarians.

>Alpha Legionairres are tampered with by legio librarians to think their name is Alpharius.

>Legion operatives who infiltrated the Raven Guard have no idea who else is an infiltrator and how many they are.

>Omegon concludes business with the Cabal by blowing one of their dignitaries out an airlock.

>Horus wants the Alpha Legion to give him the geneseed the Raven Guard used to make super-marines

>Omegon gives Horus the finger by giving him corrupted Raven Guard geneseed.

Once, on Tartarus. Kaurava and Aurelia we don't know, though Relic says many of their casualties in Soulstorm were caused by Carron, making him the one Chaos Lord in the series who's actually managed to hurt the Blood Ravens.

And taking away their metal boxes *does* make sense.

>Over the course of thousands of battles, the Chaos Lord Firaeveus Carron had developed cruelly keen instincts.
>Archon Tahril took all but two leaders as fools in the Kaurava Conflict: Farseer Caerys and Lord Carron. These two alone might know where in the shadows to look for his fleets of Raiders and Ravagers.

His daemon-lord / primarch told him he as a failboat, so he got exploded. The abaddon saw his soul floating around and stole it, then gave him a new body, presumably using fabulous bile technology. So he's bound to the legion now.

As for his voice actor, its the same as gabriel angelos. Once they realised they were bringing back eliphas and that they already had angelos, they decided he needed a new VA since they were so similar.

And most people are too busy herpaderping over "metal bawkses" to see that, while Carron may be a frothing manchild crybaby, he's a COMPETENT frothing manchild crybaby. On the other hand we have Eliphas who, despite being one smooth motherfucker, failed on Kronus, failed on Kronus again, failed on Aurelia, and (most likely) failed on Typhon (because Relic would never kill off the Blood Ravens).

In Legion, the Alpha Legion learns that if the Emperor wins, humanity will die a slow death, Chaos will surge into prominence, and the galaxy will be dragged into the warp.

They also learned that, if Horus won, he would create a chaos empire that he would promptly shatter in a self-destructive rage, destroying the human species but leaving the galaxy relatively free of Chaos taint.

I think the Alpha Legion is doing their damnest to make sure that neither Horus or the Emperor wins, discarding the whole prophecy and creating a future where there still could be hope for humankind.

Nifty.

Your English leaves much to be desired but I think I can understand your query and yes, the Raven Guard come off as competent. They got punked by the Alpha legion without a doubt but they survived nonetheless and showed that the Emperor's children should never be put in charge of a fortress. Their focus on stealth is shown to be a product of Corax's upbringing. Not to what you call the "HURRDURR" extent but that where others go for the glory they are more then happy to stick to the shadows to get the job done.

I also really liked the flashbacks to Corax's upbringing. Showing how he could have easily been another night haunter had someone not put two and two together and realized he was in a jail full of political dissidents, free thinkers and philosophers. Not the worst place for a Primarch to come into his own actually.
