[ERROR] No.16115726 [Reply] [Original] [4plebs] [archived.moe]

If tyranids evolve so rapidly, why arent they immune to bullets yet?

>> No.16115824

No answer? Looks like the Emperor wins again.

>> No.16115829

>>16115726
there was a story about the tau having a hard time because the nids they where fighting did exactly that.

The problem is that they make them selves immune to one gun at the expense of being vulnerable to other forms of attack.

>> No.16115831

Tyranids are smart. But heavy knows the answer to this one.

>> No.16115834

Oh wait.

also nids are capable of producing armour thats immune to practically anything but its just not worth putting on all the critters. Same reason the IG doesn't equip all its soldiers with terminator armour.

>> No.16115867

Oh yeah, also how come everyone is afraid of the Tyranids when they have a horrible kill to death ratio?

Or why most of their numbers are weak tiny creatures that can be killed by the most basic of weaponry?

Not so scary are they, once you think about it.

>> No.16115879

except the whole devouring entire planetary ecosystems oceans and atmoshphere and all in a matter of weeks.

>> No.16115900

You know my friends, I believe its quite impossible to be afraid of the Tyranids. Are they not mindless, not capable of even providing the most basic thought?

Or being 100% dependent on their "hivemind"? Sounds to me they're just a bunch of momma's boys, or should I say momma's bugs.

>> No.16115928

Tyranid weapons are made of organic components. They often fall apart in battle.

>>16115879
So they're fat too? Lets add that to the list then.
They're
-Stupid
-Fat
-Can die
-Not independent
-Don't believe in the Emperor
-Mostly weak and small
-Not bulletproof

Now honestly tell me, you don't think we could beat them easily?
Because I sure do.

I forgot that too! These buggies don't even know how to make a light bulb for thrones sake! They've got no technology, and only have what they're born with.

>> No.16115972

Heres another fact. Did you know that all Tyranids don't have any training at all? Its true. The "Great Devourer" is made up of enemies that have no experience at all. Even their leaders too. They just release their soldiers onto the battlefield without even going through a briefing!

>> No.16115993

>> No.16115997

Now lets look at the Guardsman, shall we? Mighty, proud, strong and united in a common cause. Do you know what that cause is?
The Emperor.
Do you know what the Tyranid's cause is?
Hunger.

Now which sounds like a better cause to you, friend?

>> No.16116005

'Genestealers' are kleptomanic little creatures. However, because they lack any sort of strength in their puny arms they are not actually able to carry any loot heavier than a human gene! When the Magos Biologis discovered this they gave the genestealers this mocking name, son that the whole Imperium might know of their weakness.

Its been reported from a dozen skirmishes that all Tyranid leaders are afraid of dying! When threatened, a Tyranid leader will order any bug near him to form a living, moving wall to protect him! They're so afraid of dying, that they would sacrifice tens of thousands of their army just so they can survive.
What cowards I say!

Are you following what I'm saying friend? The Tyranids also have no official ranks. Have you ever seen a mark or badge that indicates their superiority?
No?
Well guess what, its because they're all equally bad!

>> No.16116123

So remember these lessons my friend. Do not fear the Tyranid, because theres nothing about them to fear.
Do not beware the Tyranid, because they are hardly a threat.

>> No.16116131

I heard from my cousin in the Magos Biologis that they're basically only ever a few days from starving to death, so if it takes them longer than they expected to find an edible planet, they die by the thousands.

Isn't that a nice thought? Nids just dying where they stand?

>> No.16116154

Can't we just be honest to them about what they're facing? Sure it might terrify them, but I think knowing what's at stake will serve them better than believing themselves to be up against mere flies.

Overconfidence leads to Pride, and Pride comes before a Fall.

Because they absolutely don't care about losses. The tyranids have no concept of failure at all. They will devour the planet sooner or later - for them anything else is alien.
Hence they don't care how much biomass they throw at you, since they will recover it all.

And energy they get from sunlight.

I got a question for you guys.
I don't play 40k but enough of my core group of friends do that I can't help but overhear some of this stuff. How can you still like the fluff for this game? None of it is at all consistent, they tell you these things are crazy and unbeatable then 5 minutes later they tell you a story about how some unnamed space marine kills one with his hands or how one man has unlimited power but has been fighting with this faction and made no ground in the last 20 years. How can you take this stuff seriously?
